Last night I had the pleasure of visiting a fellow CF family, the Sprinkle’s. I was on official CF business but couldn’t help but feel at home with such warm and inviting people. Erin, mother of Caleb (5) and Joshua (9) welcomed us with open arms and made us feel like we were old friends. I was there to film a few “Thank You” videos featuring Erin and Caleb that will be sent out to the Sponsors and Supporters of a few different CF Fundraising events. It’s all very hush hush right now, but I can’t wait to release the finished product for everyone to see. Erin and the boys were total rockstars. I couldn’t have asked for better people to represent this cause and make my job of filming this project so easy. Big shout out goes to the Sprinkles! Caleb is my grandson and he makes my heart so very happy. Once CF touches your life, you are never the same. CF parents are amazing people. My daughter, Erin, and her husband, Darrell, are in this group. They are raising two boys, loving them, guiding them and enjoying them every day. Caleb is treated like a normal kid that has treatments, medications and some restrictions in environments that could be risky to his health. Cystic Fibrosis is hard for him to say and he calls pseudomonas “cynabronus”. Caleb’s big brother, Joshua, says” I hate CF and wish I could punch it in the face”. We all feel the same and that is why we “walk for Caleb” every year. Caleb is funny and has a delightful personality. He has touched many lives. Many friends and our extended family members are big fans and supporters. We are so thankful for them and for the work of the CF Foundation!!!
