Squirt @ 32 weeks and 5 days. 🙂
Looks like someone’s gotten the itch as well. Kayla picked up a crochet starter kit and is currently crocheting our little bean a cap. It’s a little known fact that our tiny princess may arrive with a head of red hair (a shame) so we will simply use this to cover it up! 🙂 OUCH! Oh, Kayla didn’t like that last part…
This weekend has already been busy for us. We got our learn on with the Baby’s Essentials class where we were taught how to hold, bathe, cuddle, and love our little squirt. Kayla and Mom Christoff tackled some epic baby registering at Babies R Us and Target while Dad Christoff and I painted and moved furniture into the nursery (pics to come soon). Right now, we’re finally getting around to packing up and putting away all the Christmas decorations. But, I managed to snap a few pics of Kayla in all her prego glory! 🙂
We’ve hit the 30 week mark! Squirts arrival will be here before we know it. Yesterday, Kayla and I had an all day Child Birth Preparation class. We learned more than we ever wanted to know about the whole birthing process. I really wish they would have put some sort of disclaimer before a few of the videos we watched. Some of them got down right gruesome! 🙂 But, we left feeling much more confident about what is to come. Oh, and there is much more learning to be had. We have plenty more classes including Baby Essentials, Becoming Parents, Breast Feeding, and Daddy Boot-camp. Good times! We’ve bought the furniture and paint for the nursery so it looks like we’ll be able to finish up the room next weekend. Even though I probably should have been doing something more constructive like cleaning the house, taking down the Christmas lights, or getting ready for work, I made this rock’n sock monkey for my little…monkey.
Welcome the newest addition to the family. We’re the proud owners of a shiny new Mazda CX-7. We think this car will fit the bill nicely once the little one arrives. It has the right amount of space and getty-up for the price we paid. Which, btw is the same price Kayla paid for her 2005 Honda Civic! I think we’ve proven that the best time to buy a car is indeed at the end of the year. Happy New Year!
Wow, Christmas came and went with the blink of an eye. I hope Santa was as good to you as he was to us. Today we went small SUV hunting. Don’t you just love that new car smell? We test drove the Chevy Equinox, Honda CR-V, Kia Sorento, and the Mazda CX-7. I think we’re digg’n the CR-V and CX-7 the best so far. You really can’t go wrong with any of them though. They all have very similar features and price tag. Next on our list to try out is the Toyota RAV4, Nissan Rouge, and Ford Escape. Other than that we’re just getting ready for the new year and the exciting times that are to come with 2012. Here’s the latest ultrasound pic of little squirt.
Wow, it feels like forever since I updated the ‘ol blog. Kayla and I had a great Thanksgiving and have since been crazy busy with work and all of the exciting things the holidays bring this time of year. I started a new job, we furnished the office, bought the nursery furniture, decorated the house, and have just finished all of our Christmas shopping. Whew. I hope everyone is having a jolly good time and we want to extend our love and prayers to our wonderful family and friends. We love you all and wish you a very Merry Christmas. Here’s an…outtake… to this years Christoff Christmas photo.
Our little angel went all Hulk on Kayla’s belly last night. It was the first time Kayla really knew the baby was kicking…er…punching…er kickpunching…We were super excited.
