Happy Birthday to my amazing son, Hunter. I can always count on his smile to brighten up my day no matter what kind of mood I’m in. I pray he never looses his sense of humor, his curiosity, his unfaltering love, and sense of adventure…Okay, maybe a little less curiosity…This kid gets into EVERYTHING! Happy Birthday Buddy!

Church Lot Shoot
Last Saturday, I was driving Hunter around in the car waiting for him to fall asleep for his first nap of the day, when I spotted some uh-mazing Fall foiliage in a church parking lot just up the road from our house. I immediately made a mental note to remember this spot when it came time to make our Christmas card photos. Unfortunately, after a week of some pretty harsh weather, the grounds were really disappointing. All the leaves had blown away and most of the plant life had already turned in for the winter. But that didn’t stop the kids from having fun!

Striding in his Stride Rites
Hunter received the VIP treatment at Stride Rite Friday night. The super helpful staff measured Hunter’s feet and helped Granna and Mommy pick out the perfect fitting shoe for our little guy. We did the same with Adalyn for her first pair. Since they take measurements we know the shoe will be a great fit and we’ll have a guideline as to what size to buy next. Tonight we helped Hunter break in his new kicks by taking him for a little stroll around the neighborhood. Look at that dapper little fellow.
Such a Sweet Girl
Halloween 2014
It’s such an Animal House around here! 🙂 The kids were adorable in their animal costumes this year. Kayla and I couldn’t believe Adalyn chose the monkey outfit over one of the million different princess or Minnie Mouse costumes she had to choose from. But we’re so happy she did. She’s adorable. Oh, and Hunter, come on! I didn’t think anyone could stuff so much cuteness into a little lion costume! Look at those cheeks! The neighborhood was great. Everyone was friendly and we had a great time going door to door with Granna and Papa. Of course everyone thought the kids were just too cute and while it may have taken Adalyn a couple of houses to warm up, but by the end of the adventure she was zipping up to each door and ringing the doorbell all on her own.
Radio Flyer
The entire Crew came down with colds last week. It started with Adalyn, then Hunter, and finally Mommy and Daddy came down with mean sinus infections and sore throats. No FUN! Luckily, by Sunday everyone seemed to be on the mend and we were able to get outside and enjoy the UH-MAZING weather. Until now, Adalyn had never really ridden her tricycle. She has sat on it and scooted a little but never really got how the peddles worked. I’m not exactly sure what prompted it but Sunday afternoon she hopped on and just started peddling. I wish you could have seen her face when she realized how much fun it was to ride the little red tricycle around the house. She had a blast. Mommy and Daddy quickly talked her into taking the trike outside where things were a lot less likely to get broken. 🙂
Walking Boy
Hunter has really stepped up his walking around the house this past weekend. He loves walking back and forth to Mommy and Daddy and he’ll take a few steps to get from the couch to the coffee table. He’s not in a hurry to start walking everywhere quite yet and frankly I don’t think we’re ready for him to do that either. 🙁 Why do these kiddos have to grow up so darn fast?!
